JotW: Just Dance by Lady GaGa
This has got to be my favorite song so far this month! It took a couple plays to grow on me but once I gave the song a chance I started to just dance! I really like Just Dance because it is different from the Lil Wayne, T.I., Rick Ross, etc. that I am used to listening to.

JotW: Love Lockdown
Kanye West caught a lot of shit for his new song Love Lockdown and I will be the first to admit that it took a few days to grow on me, but I started rocking to it and then he re-did it and I have to say that it is one of my favorite songs out there right now. Part of me loves Kanye because of how he interacts with his audience through his blog. How many artists do you know that actually run their websites? I am glad to see one of the bigger players in the game is finally learning about the internet.

JotW: The Business by Young Berg
This week’s jam of the week is a recent song by Young Berg featuring Casha called The Business. I think we can all assume that we know what they mean when they say give me the business so I won’t explain that, if you don’t know, just listen to the song and listen to how she rasps/moans the line and you will get it. (Lets just say she can give the business to me any day.)

JotW: Good Day by DJ Greg Street
The Jam of the Week is back and this week my playlist has been hitting Good Day by DJ Greg Street ft. Nappy Roots quite often. The song is catchy and has a decent message, atleast they aren’t talking about what they have and why they are so fly because that stuff is getting old. My favorite part of the song is the group of kids singing the chorus, listen to it yourself!

JotW: N.E.R.D. Everybody Nose
Today’s Jam of the Week is Everybody Nose by N.E.R.D. The song is a great song to throw up at a party and get everyone moving and dancing. The beat is straight bananas! That is one thing you can expect from all the N.E.R.D. joints, crazy beats with cutting edge music. They are all producers so the beats had better be hot!

JotW: I Got My by Static Major ft. Lil Wayne
This weeks jam of the week is a song thats just started hitting the local southern radio stations pretty hard down here in the dirty south. The joint is called “I got my” by Static Major featuring Lil Wayne aka Weezy. The song has a catchy beat and chorus and some decent rhymes. I was going to put a NERD song as the jam of the week but I guess that will be next week.

The first installment of my new series, Jam of the Week, will be published every Thursday. I will post music that I think you probably haven’t heard, good music with intriguing lyrics.
This weeks Jam of the Week is I Kissed a Girl by Kate Perry. This song is a playful song about something many girls seem to think is a taboo subject. The comments on youtube show the controversy that this song has been met with. Some people say that the lyrics are weird, strange, and just odd, but they make perfect sense and play with your mind, intriguing it like a beautiful girl riding a bike.
