A Day of Reckoning
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning offically releases today. No more confusion about the 20 different types of betas they appeared to have running, just one game. My guild Animosity has been playing on Badlands since Sunday with the CE Head Start and we are all nearly level 20 right now. Twenty more levels until we reach the PvE Rank Cap of level 40. Until I hit level 40 I probably won’t post much non-warhammer related content on here, but I should be 40 in a couple weeks.

State of Warhammer Address
Over the last month or so there has been a flurry of activity in the Warhammer Online community. From the first announcements of a first quarter 2009 launch to an all of a sudden late 3rd quarter 2008 launch, everything feels like it is being rushed a little bit. I have seen this game grow over the past few months as an Elder Beta tester and there is a lot that I would like to get off my chest about Warhammer. Like many things I have read, this too might turn out to be a little rantish, but just remember that I love Warhammer and I fully plan on buying the game, I have it preordered anyways…

The specs on my ~$1000 PC
Ok, It’s been a few days since I built my computer, 2 to be exact, and I have ran tests upon tests on it to make sure that everything is working correctly and that I am getting some great performance right out of the gates. So far this rig has crushed my expectations, I was thinking of it running somewhere around ~11000 3dmark06 before overclocking it but it ran an amazing 13872 3Dmark06 score @ 1680×1050.

What’s it like at Rank 1 in WAR?
In games like World of Warcraft, the only thing you can do at level 1, rank 1 in the case of Warhammer, is to go out and level, make some new friends, ect… That’s all well and good and you can do that in WAR as well but in WAR you can jump right into the exciting RvR.

Building a new gaming computer for ~$1000
It’s been a year now since I got my laptop, a Dell Inspiron 1720 with a Nvidia 8600 GT, 2gb ram, a Core 2 Duo processor, and windows Vista, but now I am really starting to miss my old desktop just because of the power it had. Not to mention my 17″ laptop isn’t really portable, its about 8.5 pounds so lugging it to and from class is a pain, but that’s another story for another day. This post will be about the components for my new computer that I just ordered off of newegg and why I picked each of them. Hopefully I can cut out some of the confusion that I faced when making this computer for other people.

The Warhammer NDA is lifted!
The Warhammer NDA has been lifted, so this post will mark the start of my beta journal for the Open Beta portion of Warhammer. The NDA has been lifted in preparation for the Preview Weekend occurring this weekend, August 22-24th. AonxeDotCom has been empty for the past week or so because I have been so busy with Warhammer, this was one of the most rigorous beta testing programs I have ever been apart of, but it was worth it to see a game come from what it used to be turn into something great.

WAR CE Pre-Order Beta Ready to Kick Off!
It seems that the day of Open Beta is drawing near! EA Mythic just sent out the 60,000 Collector’s Edition Pre-Order Open Beta invites yesterday in waves, so if you haven’t gotten yours yet then don’t worry, it will come, so long as you have already set up your account at Warhammer’s beta center. So, In the words of EA Mythic, “Are you ready for war?!”
