About four days ago I got my hands on the Call of Duty 5 beta. At first I wasn’t even going to try it because it wasn’t by Infinity Ward. I feel that Infinity Ward saved the COD franchise with COD4 and that giving the series back to Treyarch was a giant mistake. Alas, a bunch of my friends picked up the beta and they said it was pretty good, so I jumped on and installed it. Basically all they did was take Infinity Ward’s COD4 and re-skin it to look World War 2ish. They did some improvements but it is basically the same game, just with a significantly different gameplay. There are finally some new game modes incomding for the increadible First Person Shooter Call of Duty 4. There are four new game modes, the only thing is that they really aren’t new. Most of the modes are just a mode with Hardcore tacked on the end, which isn’t anything different for me because I only play Hardcore servers. Activision, the people behind Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare have released a new patch for their innovative shooter. The 4-map-pack that was previously only on consoles, is now available free, alongside the 1.6 patch, for PC users. Continue reading ‘Call of Duty 4 v1.6 Patch Released!’
