JotW: Got Money by Lil Wayne

This week’s jam of the week is Got Money by Lil Wayne off his latest album The Carter III. The song features T-Pain and was produced by Play-n-skillz. Got Money is a typical Lil Wayne song with over the top lyrics and humor in every verse. His delivery is impeccable as always and the addition of T-pain allows for some really clever verses, not to mention everything T-Pain touches is hot same with Lil Wayne, so this track is Hot x2.

Warhammer Online New Release Date!

Today I got an e-mail from Gamestop, where I preordered Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, and it said that Warhammer was going to be released on September 23rd of this year! This is up from the last release date the gave us of February 2009! I don’t know what’s going on but I can’t wait for the game to come out, hopefully the finish it and don’t rush out a release due to financial constraints. From my time spent in the Warhammer Beta I can say that the game is on par with World of Warcraft right now, but it still needs more balancing and polishing.

New Call of Duty 4 Game Modes…. Kinda!

There are finally some new game modes incomding for the increadible First Person Shooter Call of Duty 4. There are four new game modes, the only thing is that they really aren’t new. Most of the modes are just a mode with Hardcore tacked on the end, which isn’t anything different for me because I only play Hardcore servers. There is one mode that I am looking foward towards though. Continue reading ‘New Call of Duty 4 Game Modes…. Kinda!’

Amateur Surgeon Great Flash Game

I come across alot of cool stuff while I am on the web surfing around and what not and one of the coolest things I have found is Amateur Surgeon, a game on the Adult Swim website. The point of the game is to be this pizza boy / wannabe surgeon and you are tutored by a disgruntled and diaboicaly deviant ex surgeon. The two of you start up a shop and fix people up for the cheap. It’s a fun game and suprisingly addictive!

Review: Gold Slam Tennis

Gold Slam Beta 2 Started last night and I can say that I was really excited to start playing again. The game is really fun and is one of the few free games that I have throughly enjoyed my time spent. Gold Slam is made by Aeria Games, the people who brought you Shaiya and a few other popular free games. Gold Slam Beta 2 is going on until August 4 so go get the game and lets play some tennis!

2 New Features of Warcraft III 1.22

Warcraft III: TFT’s most recent patch v1.22 brought a few new changes. There are two in particular that make the game alot better for myself and all the people that know about it, namely DotA players but I could see these features being useful for ladder match orientated players as well. The two new features are auto-health bars and auto-save replays. Continue reading ‘2 New Features of Warcraft III 1.22′

DotA Tips: Speed Kills

For the past month or so I have seen a variety of new tactics and even tried to develop a few of my own, the only one that I have made that seems to work is the “Ricky Bobby Strat.” You know in Taledega Knights where Ricky Bobby is like “WHOO I’m going fast!”? Well that is the idea. With enough speed, you can dodge enemy spells, chase running heroes, and just even do some crazy stuff that people will never even expect. Taking your DotA to the next level

As soon as you start playing Defense of the Ancients on Warcraft III: TFT you will start getting better. Soon you will have friends that you like to play with and the public custom games just don’t seem to challenge you any more. You start playing TDA games and for a while they seem to be a little harder but you seem to win about 95% of them with your new TDA team. Steamrolling pubs starts to get old. What’s next? Where do you go to take you gameplay up to the next level? Continue reading ‘Taking your DotA to the next level’

Tools of the Trade

My friends ask me all the time what programs do I use to program and what are the best programs for image editing, etc. I tend to always tell them the same thing, get Adobe Creative Suite 3. This isn’t the case for some people though and some of the applications in CS3 are bloated and just don’t work as well as other programs, that’s why I use a bunch of different programs from other places. They also don’t cost you an arm and a leg like CS3 does, but you can always find other ways to get CS3 if you really want it. That is for another day though. Continue reading ‘Tools of the Trade’

CodeIgniter Where do I start?

You know PHP well enough, now what do you do? You are tired of writing the same code over and over again for different applications aren’t you? If so it sound like you need to pick out a framework to make your life easier. The most popular framework on the web would have to be Ruby on Rails, but we don’t know ruby and I really don’t want to learn a language that can’t handle scalability without teams of people working on scalability, do you? Lets stick with PHP.

There are hundreds of frameworks out there, actually probably more like twenty or thirty, but still, picking one can seem like a daunting task. Where do you start? How do you pick? What is a framework anyways? I will try to answer all these questions here and tell you guys why CodeIgniter was the best framework for me. Continue reading ‘CodeIgniter Where do I start?’
