The Assassin of Nothing?

I play an Assassin in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. Right now I am level 37 on the Scourge server. I would be a much higher level if the assassin didn’t have so many weaknesses, which is what this post will focus upon. There are many good aspects of the class as well, don’t get me wrong. I have fun or I would have rerolled a long time ago. Continue reading ‘The Assassin of Nothing?’

Age of Conan’s First Class Buffs

After the launch of every game there are always bugs and imbalances that evidently slipped through the cracks of the testing process. You could attribute this to the terrible open beta but there was still a closed beta for the developers to weed out the bugs. As in most cases, this was probably just oversight by Funcom because no company likes to really listen to its user base. Continue reading ‘Age of Conan’s First Class Buffs’

Age of Conan: The Fatality!

The Fatality is a mythical finisher in Age of Conan that invokes great pleasure in my eye and another place that I don’t want to talk about as this isn’t that type of blog. Back to the post! To further define the fatality, they are are certain moves a player is able to do to finish off an enemy. Fatalities in Age of Conan consist of decapitations, neck breaking, and various other actions, based on player class. I have included several screen shots  that show some of the fatalities that you see when you are playing the assassin class. Gore alert! Continue reading ‘Age of Conan: The Fatality!’

Take 2: Age of Conan!

A few weeks back, I wrote an article about the Age of Conan fiasco (Read First Impresssions: Age of Conan). Now that the game has been released and they have fixed many of my gripes about the game I figured it was time to take a look at reasons why I actually like the game now!

Wordpress Theme: proB

This is my first Wordpress theme that I have ever made. I origionally planned to use it on Aonxe.com but I didn’t love what I made so I decided to release it as a free wordpress theme. I was inspired by problogger.net’s layout and coincidentally, their color sheme as well. I guess sometimes that’s just the way the color scheme generator plays with you. Setting Up Listchecker on Warcraft III

If you play Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne at all, then I know that you have heard of the most popular map on Battle.net, Defense of The Ancients. You can download the map here. If you have taken your game up to the next level from public games found in the custom game list to TDA games sponsored by Clan TDA (The clan responsible for maintaining the map) then you probably have heard of LC or listchecker. List checker is a great tool that creates a Virtual LAN that allows for a smooth lag-free game in most cases. The only problem with listchecker is that there is little documentation on how-to get it all up and running, and this can be a daunting task for the less technically inclined DOTA hosts out there. My take on Console vs PC Gaming

There are many ways to play video games and each have their own benefits and drawbacks. I happen to be a PC gamer just because it is easier to play games on the computer for me as the computer is where I work, but I also understand the importance of console game systems. Consoles always seem to have a more planned out story line and they each offer something special. Continue reading ‘My take on Console vs PC Gaming’

5 Ways to Be a Better Person

I don’t really like to “toot my own horn” as my mother would put it, but a lot seems to be going well in my life right now, as opposed to a year ago when hardly anything went down the way I wanted. So, I stopped and asked myself what did I do, how am I different from over a year ago, whats changed? I came up with five things that I think can be used by anyone to become a better person. Continue reading ‘5 Ways to Be a Better Person’

The Top 3 Free MMORPGs That Are Full of Fail

There are countless Free MMORPGs out there, most of them made by the same 5 companies, and they are all equal in that they are games with truly no purpose. Some of these games are mildly successful, like Rappelz, while others are just like… Terrible. This list will show the top 3 free MMORPGs that could have been good, but they were missing major aspects of the game which turned them in to epic glasses of fail. Continue reading ‘The Top 3 Free MMORPGs That Are Full of Fail’

Finally, an alternative to paypal.

While reading some blogs on money, I came across this article about how paypal is so profitable. I found out some things that made me see exactly how greedy they are. First, all of the money that runs through paypal and eBay is stored in a bank account, a bank account that they get interest on, which is probably an enormous amount. Secondly, the fees. They take fees on top of taking all the interest that they make off of your money, greedy isn’t it? This isn’t a paypal bashing post so I should stop before I get going on their total lack of seller protection.

Now it’s time to get back on track. This post is supposed to be about this new online money transfer service I found called Revolution Money Exchange or RME as I will refer to it throughout this article. RME is a service like paypal in many aspects, but it is so much different from paypal at the same time. Continue reading ‘Finally, an alternative to paypal.’
